Michael Jackson's Memorial Service

"This is a celebration of his life, his legacy." - Magic JohnsonSuch an emotional event and so touching. I teared up at a few points of the ceremony, like after Jennifer Hudson's and Usher's performance. However, when Paris Jackson (Michael's daughter) spoke, I lost it. That made me cry when she said, "I just want to say ever since I was born, Daddy has been the best father you can ever imagine. And I just wanted to say I love him so much".
"There was nothing strange about your daddy, he just faced strange things." -Al Sharpton
"He has made an enormous impact on our lives, all over the world." - Smokey RobinsonI thought the KFC story that Magic Johnson told was pretty funny. That brought a smile to my face. Maya Angelou wrote a poem that seemed very fitting. I also liked how John Mayer just played his guitar and opted not to sing. I thought that was really powerful to just feel the music. I also applaud Jermaine Jackson for performing Michael Jackson's favorite song on stage. I was hoping Janet Jackson would speak, but Paris speaking was much more emotional.

"There will never be another Michael Jackson." - Pastor Lucious Smith

"Smile though your heart is aching" - Charlie Chaplin.
