Our instructor was very knowledgeable and taught us things to watch out for, and walked us through the entire process slowly. I had the opportunity to also fly the plane, but decided to give Andres my session as well. We took off from Farmingdale, NY at Republic Airport and we flew to Bridgeport, CT.
Since Andres had both sessions, we were able to try a "touch and go", where we land quickly and immediately take off again instead of having a full stop. Riding in the back was pretty fun, since I was able to enjoy the scenery.
On our round trip back, our instructor allowed for some freestyle soaring. Andres practiced turns and even did a 360°. It was quite windy that morning, but sitting inside, surprisingly I hardly felt the turbulence. It was a great little "adventure", and I highly recommend it.
