Ann Hamilton's Event of a Thread

Wednesday, January 09, 2013

On the last day of the exhibit, I finally had the chance to visit Ann Hamilton's Event of a Thread exhibit held at the Park Avenue Armory. A multisensory piece of work, it invited guests to interact in many ways. Swings were attached to strings that moved the white curtain and it moved along with the motion of the swings. It was a great view just lying directly underneath as well. It looked like a giant waterfall - truly amazing art.

I like how the strings are attached to the white curtains to make them move. That looks like a really cool exhibit.
