Tasty Thursdays: Grilled Salmon with Key Lime Butter

Thursday, April 21, 2011

I love eating salmon; the other day my boyfriend & I were talking about cooking fish and we discovered that neither of us knows how to deal with any type of fish although we love eating it. I found this recipe on the Food Network, by Paula Deen, and it seems fairly easy to follow (especially since it's for grilling).

Ingredients:
  • 5 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons key lime juice
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 4 (6-ounce) salmon fillets
  • Cooked pasta or rice
Directions:
Prepare grill by lightly oiling grill grate over medium-high heat.

In a small saucepan, melt butter add lime juice. Salt and pepper the salmon fillets modestly on both sides. Place fillets onto grill, brush half of lime butter over salmon. Grill salmon for 2 to 3 minutes per side for medium-rare. Drizzle remaining lime butter over salmon before serving. Serve with pasta or rice.

P.S. Congrats to Heidi of MsFashinista for winning the Dr. Perricone giveaway!
Stayed tuned for a jewelry giveaway on Monday!

My boyfriend and I have fish at least once or twice every week! I love it, just be careful to remove all the bones (if that isn't done already)!

I hit and miss with salmon. Sometimes it turns out so good and other times, not so much. This recipe is definitely worth a try though! ;)

This looks delicious. I'm not a big fan of fish but I think this is something I'd attempt to make. I've been trying to venture off and try different dishes to find something I truly enjoy eating
