Golden Globes 2011

Monday, January 17, 2011

The Social Network won Best Picture, which I thought was well deserved. It was an amazing movie & cast. I'm also glad Jim Parsons won a Golden Globe (I adore his character, Sheldon Cooper, on the Big Bang Theory) and yay to Chris Colfer winning one as well!

My favorite looks of the night were: Anne Hathaway - she looked stunning & was styled by the talented Rachel Zoe, Olivia Wilde - she looked amazing in that Marchesa gown, Leighton Meester - she looked classy & polished and I absolutely adored her shoes, Angelina Jolie - the green looked gorgeous on her & I loved the silhouette of the dress, and Emma Stone - at first I wasn't sure how I felt about her dress but after seeing it repeatedly throughout the night it grew on me, and it goes well with her complexion and blonde do (although I will always picture her as a redhead).
Here are some other looks of the night:

All pictures are from Just Jared.

Who do you think was best dressed? And the worst?

By the way, I think a lot of you misread one of my previous posts. I was trying to explain that your zodiac signs did NOT change and why. (And it does NOT apply to those born after 2009 either or anyone for that matter). The astronomer that was interviewed was misinterpreted & then it became a chain of people who were misinformed.

I adore Anna Hathaway, and Olivia Wild's dresses! I thought almost everyone looks amazing! The only dress I thought wasn't a good fit was on Natalie Portman. I wish she could have chosen a different color. xxooxoxoo

P.S. I'm a fan of Mika so I love this song :-)

Don't like the cut of Angelina's dress too much, but the color is stunning on her (As well as the sequins!). I was a big fan of Claire Dane's dress, as well as Eva Longoria!!

I actually didn't like Anne Hathaway or Emma Stone. I liked Olivia Wilde and my favourite was definitely Natalie Portman. I'm in the middle of writing my post about the Golden Globes and I'm going to post it soon so you can see my opinion on it more.

i think we must have very similar taste. things i differ on: i think that Leighton Meester could have glammed it a LITTLE bit more. also, i haven't seen the Social Network but I can't imagine that it was better than Black Swan. i really can't...

I adore Anne Hathaway. Her style just gets my heart beat faster. An icon... close to it. We all need references - to build our style.

I loved Olivia's dress!! I do like Angelina's dress but I don't know there is just something off about it. Maybe if it wasn't sooo much fabric I'd like it better! =)

Everyone looks lovely, as always:-)I just gave it a thought, will those dresses ever be worn again or perhaps end up in a glass box, on display at some small US museum? I love the detailing, hmm..the winner is..Angelina is braving a green dress so I'll give her a thumbs up for that:-)Big Hugs and as always, great post! xoxox Alice
