Bambu Apparel

Friday, January 07, 2011

Bambu Apparel was launched in 2009 by designer Sarah Saiger. Its pieces are made of jerseys and cottons in the United States & combines historic art and modern fashion. You might have heard of Bambu before since it has been featured in multiple publications such as Black Book Magazine, Fox News, Paper Magazine, Thrillist, New York Post's Page Six, and many more.
Here is more about Bambu from its bio:
"Continuing its growth as a lifestyle brand since 1764, designer Sarah Saiger launched Bambu Apparel in 2009 as a natural next step in continuing the legacy of Bambu. The Gloria De Espana collection debuted in 2009 and is available in select boutiques across the US. Coveted by Hollywood's celebrity elite, the collection appeals to a hip, sophisticated sensibility with a comfort-meets-rock and roll style. Each piece is created in the USA using premium jerseys and cottons with modern, innovative finishes and cuts. Price points for the collection start at $40.

Bambu opened its doors in 1764 or
iginally making bible paper in Alcoy, Spain. With the increasing popularity of cigarette paper in Europe, Bambu shifted production to manufacture The World’s Finest Rolling Papers, today produced in Barcelona. One of the of the world's 1000 Oldest Companies, the cigarette paper has been synonymous with quality and consistency among its loyal following. Bambu’s iconic artwork has been featured everywhere from fine art galleries to the cover of books such as “Pot Culture: The A-Z Guide to Stoner Language and Life.”"Follow Audrey Allure.

Ho hum, this isn't really my style, but it certainly looks fun! It'd be dandy to lounge in and exude that air of "aw yeah, I'm fierce and cool and relaxed."
