Snowy Holiday Weekend

How was everyone's Christmas?

Usually, my family celebrates on Christmas Eve but some of my relatives weren't coming into New York until Christmas Day so we had our big dinner then. However, on Christmas Eve I spent it with my New York cousins & family at their house - just a casual dinner.

On Christmas, I spent it with family not only from here but from London, California, and Connecticut. We had tons of food (shrimp w/ pineapple, noodles, potato salad, spring rolls, pork w/ chestnuts, etc.) and delicious cookies & fruit salad after. We even did some scratch-off tickets each to see if any of us could win some money.
almost all of us minus my uncle & dad
my cousins, me, and my mom
me&my cousins that night minus Ruth
my cousin Ruth & I
half of the food served
cookies :)

Then the next day (yesterday), I was snowed in. The snow ruined my plans of having dinner out with my friends which totally sucked.

When I woke up this morning it seemed we got more than a foot of snow. It's pretty but the wind & ice doesn't make it so pleasant. Looks like another snow day for me.

Hope everyone enjoys their snow day!

Looks really cozy and warm, plenty of food and family..that's the ingredient for a great holiday..Keep enjoying it and the snow even if too much of one thing can be a little inconvenient..Big Hugs! Alice

Looks like you had a lovely time! Rubbish news about being snowed in though - it always sounds so romantic but just turns out to be a giant pain!
