Hot Cake Fashion

Wednesday, December 01, 2010

Once upon a time there was a girl named Alice. She lived in Stockholm in a cold nordic country dreaming of the eternal summer; One day, out of the blue she bought a one way ticket to see the world, not a day too soon she thought. The website Hot Cake Fashion tells the whole story and what an amazing one as well. Alice did pack and leave & she made clothes in the confusion of muggy markets and local tailors like Vietnam, Cambodia, and India.
That was 3 years ago and with both travels and fond memories she managed to make a proper Clothing Collection and wrote a book about it, a Guide that is meant to help other young designers in How to Start a Clothing Line. Now she has unpacked her bag and made New Zealand her home and making more pretty little pieces and very happily married to the love of her life, a kiwi or perhaps the kiwi..

So, with so many questions from fellow Fashion Designers and curious creative's she decided to write a Guide-Alice's Make it Fashion Guide about the steps she took when Starting her very own Clothing Line and basically all you need to know if you dream of doing it too. In the Guide she tells it all, the story about her adventures, fortunes but also costly mistakes.
So for anyone curious, whether it's Starting a Clothing Label or it's getting inspired by her Fashion Blog it's well worth a visit!

Wow, what a fantastic post babe! I love that she actually pursued her dream and is living in NZ - it's gorgeous there!!! I actually wanted to stay longer just to do the skydiving course!

I do have fond memories of getting clothes made too in Nam and La Cambodge...they just don't fit anymore! Such beautiful places!
