The Edge of Love

Friday, October 29, 2010

The Edge of Love stars Keira Knightley, Sienna Miller, Gillian Murphy, and Matthew Rhys. It was set in London in the 40s, around the time of war. It's a romantic drama that was released in 2008.

It's description from Netflix: "Welsh poet Dylan Thomas (Matthew Rhys) is torn between his free-spirited childhood sweetheart, Vera Phillips (Keira Knightley), and his fiery wife, Caitlin MacNamara (Sienna Miller), in this lush, fact-based period drama. Despite their rivalry over Dylan, Vera and Caitlin develop an unlikely friendship, but jealousy enters the picture when Vera marries William Killick (Cillian Murphy) and the threesome becomes a quartet."
I enjoyed it, mainly because I like watching movies that are set in this time period - I love the costumes and styling. The lighting was great in this film too. I thought the story was played out nicely, and it was definitely powerful showing how much war can change someone. You can definitely feel the emotions portrayed by the characters. I give it 3.5 stars out of 5 :)

Have a great weekend everyone!

Keira Knitley is one of those ladies who just has it - class! People to look up to, frock-wise at least. Another gorgeous gal is Anne Hathaway.
