Drop-Leaf Dining Tables

Friday, October 15, 2010

One of my friends is in the process of buying furniture for her new apartment. One of the things on her to-buy list is a drop leaf table. I have one in my house in the kitchen, and it's such a great piece to have. It's small enough so you can eat or work on. With the drop leaf, you can also save space and it's easier to move it around. One of our other friends prefer a regular table, although we think the drop-leaf is a great idea. It can be versatile - especially the rectangular ones as opposed to the circular tables. What do you think about them?

The one above is from CSN. The ones below are from Ikea and Crate and Barrel.

I hope everyone has an amazing weekend!

This is going to be my first order of business when I finally get into my new place. It is such a space saver & I do have an eat-in kitchen so this will help out alot! Thanks for the reminder! I'll be going to Ikea ASAP!!

hey there gorgeous...I fell in love with them ever since I started living alone...it really saves a lot of space and pretty convenient too...my mom loves how she can fold the tables to create a smaller corner table...then if we want to play poker then we can always make the table bigger...

Great post love

Hmm, my kitchen table technically has a leaf, but it's always up, so I never really notice it.

Such a nifty and clever idea! Would have to consider one of these for my new flat. Thanks for sharing@

OOH. I HAVE ONE OF THESE. Yes! Now I feel awesome!

Except for my father and I messed it up - we put it in the wrong way. And the flipper thing doesn't work.

But hey - that's besides the point!
