Fashion Coterie

Friday, September 24, 2010

Hello everyone! I apologize for the lack of posts these past couple of weeks. I've been so busy I haven't had the time to update properly. Yesterday I went to the Jacob Javits Convention Center and had the chance to see the Fashion Coterie, Sole Commerce, and Accessories The Show trunk shows. Basically, this is like Fashion Week extended but buyers & such come to take a look at the collections up close and make orders.

I wasn't able to see EVERYTHING since the place is absolutely humongous. It took me about 2 hours just to walk around one and a half floors. I did get to see some familiar brands as well as being introduced to other brands that are just starting out. I'm going to do a separate post on one of the brands I liked. I met some interesting people & did some early trick-or-treating haha. (Most of the booths had a bowl of candy).

Below are some pictures I've taken around the center.

Oh Wow, so many cool brands/labels there! Did you buy anything for yourself?
At LFW at the static shows - kinda similar the lesser known designers/brands offer to do private orders at a lot less than retail price plus you get it first!
