Happenings This Past Weekend

Monday, July 19, 2010

This past Saturday, Coney Island hosted its annual Siren Music Festival. It was free for all guests. What better way to celebrate summer by the beach, listen to live music, play arcade games, and riding the Cyclone? Haha, well honestly that was my original plan to go but I figured it was too hot to be in a crowd full of sweaty people.

Which leads to being at Warped Tour, which was also happening this Saturday.
Each year seems to get more & more expensive, and with my busy schedule, I totally forgot about Warped Tour. I've been there twice and I've had good experiences. It's nice to go with a bunch of friends & see specific bands you want. Although of course food & water is pretty pricey.

Instead, I spent all of Saturday with my boyfriend, Andres. He dragged me to see Sorcerer's Apprentice, which I fell asleep midway through. A scene definitely reminded me of Fantasia though (the one with Mickey Mouse using magic to clean with brooms & mops & such.) Jay's a cutie, but I think you're better off watching Dodgeball.
Sunday, in the morning I went to a Bravo show taping with my friend Angelica. That's pretty much all I can say about that since it has to be kept confidential. (:

Later on in the afternoon, I went to my boyfriend's house to have some BBQ while hanging out by his pool with his family. It was quite relaxing, and the weather wasn't too bad either. Food was delicious (and also because I was super hungry!) haha.
How was your weekend?

And thanks to Amanda for the Super Blog Award & Hottest Female Blogger Award!

Sweet to read about what you were up to... fun fun fun!

We celebrated my hubby's colleague's b-day. Out on his terrace. It got a bit chilly but luckily I was prepared. I started out with a tunic dress, then added a cardigan, followed by skinny pants and then finally my leather jacket! Gradually...

Thank you so much for your blog friendship sweet Audrey! And your always so kind and encouraging comments on my blog. This all means so so much to me, especially at this time.

Warmest of hugs from Paris!

P.S. I find your homage to your Grandma so very touching. I really paused and watched it through, admiring her life.

I went to Coney Island last time I was over - went to a great pizza place, had the oldest pizza oven in New York State, can't remember the name of it but it was pretty small and the pizza was great. xx

This looks kind of really AMAZING. I love ferris wheels. Even though I hate heights. Hmm.

Sounds like a good time =) I love Food Network!! Can't wait to hear what show you saw. I love me some Throwdown with Bobby Flay hehe. I used to love Warped Tour as well but it's way too commercial now. They charge so much money and they don't give away the free stuff anymore =(

I had a my heart broken by Warp Tour. They announced a show in my hometown but the day before tickets went on sale they cancel it. :(
