Sex & The City 2: The Movie

Monday, May 31, 2010

I went to see this film with my friend Vanessa, my fellow Charlotte :)

This movie was exploding in fashion, fashion, and more fashion. Despite negative reviews, I thought it was a great movie, at least in terms of style - it made me want to go shopping after! The story plot was alright - Aiden's character didn't really do much for me & there wasn't much drama going on, but it did have its funny moments.

I loved how it started out with Stanford & Anthony's wedding - definitely a gay wedding, but surprising they were getting married. Liza Minnelli performing the Single Ladies dance was just too funny. And the resort they went to was absolutely breathtaking. I would love to have my own car/driver & butler for a week. Although, it would've been nice to see them more in New York City. The opening credits of the city & "Empire State of Mind" playing already reeled me in.

It's incredible. I watched a report on the news yesterday how much the sales of Manolos, turbans and other SATC2 typical clothing has gone up already.

Yeah, the movie really wasn't what I expected. But it was interesting. I liked how it played with the idea of how unhappy you can be with something you thought would make you happy. The fashion was pretty amazing though.
I loved seeing "how far they've come".

Yes, i think the decision to keep the shoe as a heel and not a wedge was the right one! Please let me know if you have got some good advice for shoe designers starting out in the industry. Thanks
