The Secret Life of Bees

Saturday, February 20, 2010

Yesterday afternoon, I was busy trying to write essays, articles & blogs. (I'm the blog editor for my college). However, I just didn't have much inspiration because I was so tired from classes, work, Fashion Week, etc. So I decided to watch The Secret Life of Bees.

It stars Dakota Fanning, Queen Latifah, Alicia Keys, Jennifer Hudson, and Sophie Okonedo. It really was a good film, and I can see why it was nominated last year for a bunch of awards. This movie came out in 2008, and it was about a young girl trying to recover over her mother's tragic death, as well as trying to find out who her mother was.

I had no idea it was such a tear jerker though, I teared about 5 times within the movie. It was truly touching. Either that, I've become super emotional haha.
Oh, and it did spark some inspiration so it helped me lol.

Audrey Allure.

Ohh I saw this movie. It was such a heart-felt movie that you can't help it but cry. I had NO idea what the movie was about too when I first saw it so I was like WOA. The sister with the messages in the rocks was so amazing. =)

Glad you could find some inspiration, thanks for sharing.
Thanks for your input on my last post, so I guess you prefer pants above dresses....?

But I agree with you on the fact that the outfit and the shoes go well together...haha... but not on nice legs like hers... does that make sense?

Thanks again and I hope your weekend is going great!
Colin.

I saw this for the first time on showtime a couple weeks ago... couldn't believe I hadn't heard much about it. It was such a great film! Of course, I love Queen Latifah in anything, but I thought the other gals did a fabulous job as well. Your family is those who love you!

I've always wanted to see this and I pass it by all the time at the video store. Next time I will pop it in, but not when people are around. I hate crying in front of people at movies!
