My Fashion Week Experience

Tuesday, February 16, 2010

*Warning: LONG POST (well more than usual haha)
I apologize for updating so late today - I didn't have the time at all this weekend or this morning. Fortunately, my last class was canceled so I was able to come home early for once! Decided to share my fashion week experience with you ladies :)

So, I also work as a model/distributor for the Daily Magazine (a daily magazine given out everyday at Fashion Week - that's me on the far left). Even though I usually get to see at least two every season; this year I was actually sent invites so I was able to go to more shows. This year I only worked on Saturday & Monday.

First, on Saturday, I saw the Ohne Titel show. (I apologize for the bad pictures, I had only my Blackberry on me - but of course you can check the collection via Style or WWD or whatever source you usually get it from).
Then I saw the Twinkle by Wenlan show. I thought it was absolutely beautiful. My favorite was this black strapless dress with colors splattered all over it. (I'll do a favorites post by the end of Fashion Week).
The next day (Valentine's Day), I saw the Lela Rose show in the morning. My Blackberry froze in the middle! So I missed out on half of the pictures that could've been taken lol. But I still got to watch & I thought it was spectacular - I loved the hair & makeup on the models, as well as the music used. Then my boyfriend Andres & I spent the rest of the day together - we went to the batting cages at Chelsea Piers, had some lunch at a little eatery nearby, relaxed on a pier while looking out at the water, warmed up at Starbucks, watched Valentine's Day (which I thought was pretty amusing, and felt like the more positive version of He's Just Not that Into You haha), then went home. Below is the beautiful red roses he gave me :)On Monday, I went to see the Tracy Reese show. Unfortunately I had a standing room invite, and I wasn't able to go in (along with an extra 100 other people) because apparently they gave out too many invites & couldn't fit all of us. But I did get to see it on the screens inside the lobby of the tents anyway. I loved the jewelry used in her show.
I was also invited to the Tracy Reese afterparty, but I was so tired I just couldn't haha.

For more pictures - you can check it out my album on my Facebook, just leave me your email address & I'll friend request you (:

Audrey Allure.
