Paris, Not France

Wednesday, July 29, 2009

Last night, MTV aired the Paris Hilton documentary: Paris, Not France. It let viewers into her real world and see her true self, just like the Britney Spears documentary. It definitely changes perspectives of those who thought she was just some dumb, blonde, heiress who's only famous because she's rich.

I already figured she couldn't possibly be that dumb; I knew it was an act but I didn't know to the extent of the impact on her. First of all, her normal voice is actually more tolerable instead of that childlike, cartoony, girly voice.
She stated that she wanted to be as famous in the way Grace Kelly and Princess Diana was - to be respected by their hard work, intelligence, and beauty. She claims her fame has gone too far to even be looked in that way, all because of how the media posed her to be.

After viewing that documentary, I've gained more respect for her - for dealing with all the pre-judgement, haters, and surviving through all of it.

She actually is a likable person and more down-to-earth than most people think. My friend & I actually got to meet her for a quick moment during Fashion Week while she was just taking a break from all the chaos inside the tents. She was at the side of the tents, near where we keep our stuff while we're working. Paris is really that beautiful and tall in person. lol

I saw the promo for that but didn't get a chance to watch it. It looked really interesting, will definitely try to catch a re-run if they air it again :)
