Back From London!

I had an amazing trip to London - I wish I could've been there longer, but I still love New York haha. I stayed in Bayswater - at the Berjaya Eden Park Hotel, and basically it felt like New York except everyone has British accents and things were a bit smaller (cars, streets, etc.) It's easy to get around places; if you know how to get around New York City, you can definitely get around London.

Day 1: Our flight was delayed about 6 hours so instead of arriving at 7:05AM, we arrived about 2PM London time. We didn't bother resting a bit, despite the 6 hour time difference, and we started our day right away. We joined the "Hop On-Hop Off" bus tour and basically rode around London for a couple of hours. We basically saw all of London within those few hours. At night, we met up with my cousin Grace who lives there & ate dinner at a pub. I just had a huge burger & fries, with sparkling water + lemon.Day 2: Since we've practically seen most of London on our first day we decided to take it a little easier. We decided to go shopping for a bit. Our first stop? Harrods - a famous department store in London. I'd say it's kind of like Nordstrom+Bloomingdale's here in the US. Then we headed to stores that I already shop at like ZARA, Topshop, Uniqlo, American Apparel, etc. At night, we met up with my cousin again and I wanted to eat some middle eastern/persian food - so we went to this nice place called Alounak. They have such good chicken kebabs+rice and pita bread+hummus. After eating so much, we decided to see London at night. We walked around the London Eye, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey all the way to Trafalgar Square (which is personally my favorite part of London). London is so beautiful at night.Day 3: We woke up a bit later and decided to walk to Kensingston Palace since it was walkable from our hotel. We strolled around it for a bit, checked out their garden and the outside of the palace. Then we walked around Hyde Park, hung out by the lake for awhile. Watched people feed the swans, ducks, and black crows. Rested for a little bit at the hotel & checked out the nearby boutiques and mall. I bought a pair of earrings at Lily J. and a wallet at Accessorize. Just bought some food near our hotel since my cousin wasn't able to meet with us that night.Day 4: Woke up really early to start heading back to New York. But we were there in London at a bad time because the Underground trains weren't working due to a strike. So we just took a walk to Paddington, which isn't far at all, instead of talking the bus. Good thing the transit to the airport was working though. Got on an early flight, no delay (thank goodness), and arrived in New York in the afternoon.
